Thirty-six non-profit organizations will get a financial boost this year thanks to Centra Credit Union. Executives at the credit union announced Centra will give 40 grants of $2,500 each to non-profits within the communities it serves. Centra employees were asked to nominate the non-profits they felt passionately about supporting and 36 were chosen. Some of the chosen non-profits will receive more than one grant.

What Is The Centra Foundation?

The Centra Foundation provides financial support to non-profit organizations that serve communities where Centra Members live and work. The Centra Foundation is dedicated to a “people helping people philosophy and is a trusted resource in the communities it serves.

What Does Centra Do for My Community?

The Centra Foundation focuses on three main philanthropic efforts: educational scholarships, financial literacy education and community outreach.

Every year, the Centra Foundation gives college scholarships to select high school seniors from the communities Centra serves, as well as individuals seeking further education later in life. The foundation also works hard to provide financial literacy education to children in elementary and high school, and support local charitable organizations based on recommendations from our employees.
