November 2022: A letter from the President

Dear Members,

I’ve discussed our vision of creating value for Members, Team Members, and the Communities we serve in past letters, and today I’m happy to announce an opportunity to create value in two new communities. In 2023, we will be opening two new branch locations in communities where we don’t yet have a physical location.

One of these new locations will be in Charlestown, Indiana. This branch will expand our current services in Clark County while offering a more convenient spot for our existing Members in Charlestown. We’ll also be opening a location in Corydon, Indiana and will become the only credit union in Harrison County. Both locations are expected to open in April 2023.

We always greatly appreciate the warm welcome we receive when we enter a new town or county, and we, in turn, aim to create value for everyone in those new communities. We look forward to better serving our existing Members in and around Corydon and Charlestown as well as sharing the credit union difference and Centra perks like our all-cash Member Loyalty Rewards with new Members.

We’re also excited to welcome new Team Members in these communities as well as those who will fill the additional branch support positions in our other communities. As these Team Members join the Centra Family, they’ll have opportunities to support the causes they care about in Corydon and Charlestown through our Centra Foundation programs, including donations, scholarships, holiday giving, and more.

As we look ahead to our long-term plans, we’re always evaluating opportunities to reach more of our existing and potential Members. I’ve often heard suggestions from our Members about where they’d like to see a new location, and we review those markets to see which opportunities are the most beneficial for our Credit Union and Membership.
