So you’ve got a new auto loan through Centra. Now what?

New Centra auto loan

Congratulations on your recent vehicle purchase! We’re happy that you chose Centra for your loan. Buying a new car is a big process, especially if it’s your first! With all the excitement of having your new car, you’re probably thinking: What’s next? Well, we’re here to break it down for you.

Your next steps

1. Make sure Centra is listed as the lienholder on your vehicle’s title. Click here for more information on titling and registering a vehicle in Indiana. As a reminder, you may have to pay the sales tax and excise tax when registering your vehicle unless you purchased from a dealer that files the paperwork for you.

When listing Centra on the title, please use the following address:

Centra Credit Union
PO Box 3001
Columbus, IN 47202

2. List Centra as the lienholder on your vehicle’s insurance policy.

When listing Centra as the lienholder on your insurance policy, please use the following address:

Centra Credit Union
PO Box 924104
Fort Worth, TX 76124

3. Submit proof of insurance

Once Centra has been listed on your insurance policy, you or your insurance agent must send proof of your insurance coverage showing you have full coverage insurance with a maximum $1,000 deductible. You can submit your proof of insurance here. If you need to mail your proof of insurance, please send it to:

Centra Credit Union
PO Box 924104
Fort Worth, TX 76124

Sending your proof of insurance promptly helps keep your records updated and avoid unnecessary insurance being placed on your loan.
