Supporting Our Communities During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Our Members are at the heart of everything we do. As a credit union, Centra focuses on serving our Members and giving back to the communities where we all live and work. During these uncertain times, giving back is more important than ever.
Many of our community Members are facing difficult financial situations due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, and we want to support the local organizations that help ensure these families have the necessities of life.
Recently, food pantries have been working around the clock to serve their communities, and the United Way has created relief funds in many of the communities we serve.
Through a combination of direct donations and community matching, we are donating up to $70,000 to food pantries and United Way agencies throughout our footprint.
By choosing to bank with Centra, you are helping support your local community when the need is greatest. We thank you for your Membership.
Centra Credit Union was founded on a principle of “People Helping People” in Columbus, Indiana.
Centra Credit Union was founded in Columbus, Indiana, and our largest presence today is still in Bartholomew County. To further live the credit union mission of “People Helping People,” we will be partnering with the United Way of Bartholomew County to offer a Community Match Challenge of $20,000.
While we have all been impacted by the pandemic, some of those in our communities have felt the impacts more deeply. If you are able, and if you would so choose, we are offering this opportunity to join with Centra as part of our Community Match. You can also help us by sharing this matching opportunity on social media.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected us all in different ways, and we are asking for any help you can offer. If you are able to do so, please donate to help those in need. You can also help us by sharing the donation links on social media.
The Metro United Way is also working every day across their seven-county community (including Clark, Floyd, and Harrison counties in Indiana) to ensure that those most vulnerable have access to food, housing, and other basic needs as quickly as possible. The Metro United Way joined other organizations around the world for #GivingTuesdayNow, and raised more than $115,000 for COVID-19 relief.
