Equifax Inc., which is considered one of the three largest American credit agencies, recently announced a cybersecurity incident potentially impacting approximately 143 million U.S. consumers. Sometime between May and July 2017, criminals exploited a website application vulnerability to gain access to certain files. These files include names, Social Security Numbers, birth dates, addresses and driver’s license numbers.
Visit Equifax’s security website to find out if you may have been impacted. You will also find answers to important questions you may have and information about a complimentary service available through Equifax for credit file monitoring and identity theft protection on this website.
