Equifax Inc., which is considered one of the three largest American credit agencies, recently announced a cybersecurity incident potentially impacting approximately 143 million U.S. consumers. Sometime between May and July 2017, criminals exploited a website application vulnerability to gain access to certain files. These files include names, Social Security Numbers, birth dates, addresses and driver’s license numbers.
