Team Members Nominate 27 Non-Profits to Receive $2,000 Grants

Several non-profit organizations throughout the communities Centra serves are receiving grants from the Centra Foundation to further their missions.

These organizations were nominated by Centra Team Members who feel passionate about the work these groups do in our communities.

“Our Team Members love being able to support the causes they care about through this program. Non-profit organizations rely on this kind of support to be able to continue serving our communities, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Centra Community Involvement Officer Jenni Carr.

The selected organizations include Bartholomew County Humane Society, Foundation for Youth, Turning Point, Bartholomew County School Supplies Assistance Program, Open Door Youth Services, Ride for a Cure, Family Ark, and Pause for Paws.

“We are so thrilled to have been selected by the Deposit Operations group of Centra Credit Union as the recipient of a $2,000 donation today! Thank you so much for supporting Turning Point, especially during Domestic Violence Awareness Month!” – Turning Point Domestic Violence Services

Centra Credit Union’s Team Member-driven grant program awarded 27 grants in total this year, amounting to $52,000 in support to the communities Centra serves.

“Giving back to our communities is essential. These wonderful organizations do amazing work, and we are honored to support them during these challenging times. Credit Unions were built on the philosophy of ‘People Helping People.’ We know that we are stronger together,” Centra President and CEO Rick Silvers said.
