2019 Loretta M. Burd Scholarship Winners

The Centra Foundation has awarded nearly one hundred high school seniors and adults with scholarships to assist with tuition, books, or other fees associated with college.

This year, we are excited to announce we awarded twenty-four $2,500 High School Scholarship (one per Centra branch location) and two $2,500 adult scholarships!

Patti TorreWe received more than 200 applications for the Loretta M. Burd High School Scholarship Program and over 25 applications for the Loretta M. Burd Adult Scholarship program.

Thank you to all who submitted and good luck with your future endeavors!The scholarship program is named in honor of Loretta Burd who retired in 2012 after 47 years of service including 25 years as Chief Executive Officer.

With special recognition to Shirley Shea for her support to the Loretta M. Burd Adult Scholarship Program. The adult scholarship program is designed for adults over the age of 22 who have realized the importance of post-secondary education for their career and family. We are very grateful for such a great community partner!
