2018 Holiday Giving Campaign

Centra raised more than $31,700 to help 317 local children and families for these organizations:

COPS AND KIDS JACKSON COUNTY – SEYMOUR – $6,802
SHOP WITH A COP DECATUR COUNTY- GREENSBURG – $506
SALVATION ARMY SHELBYVILLE – $1,598
SALVATION ARMY MADISON – $2,215[/vc_hoverbox]There are several local organizations that exist to support others and give back to our communities. The Centra Foundation, decided several years ago to support these efforts by raising money for these programs and organizations. Our fantastic team members asked for donations, organized contests, and contributed their own money to ensure that local families and children have a brighter Christmas.

The Centra Foundation is the charitable arm of Centra Credit Union and was formed to extend the Credit Union mission of People Helping People. The Centra Foundation is Centered on Caring and aims to involve Centra Members and friends in supporting charitable efforts that help meet the needs of communities where Centra Members work and live.

This year, the Jackson County Cops and Kids program was able to serve 128 children to provide clothing and gifts for at Christmas. The families also received a holiday meal as a part of the program. CJ Foster said, “Centra Credit Union has been a valuable partner and worked very hard raising money for the program. They are an awesome group of individuals! Thank you for all your hard work and thank you to the community for your help in supporting our program.”
