January 2026: A letter from the President

Estimados diputados,

I’m honored to serve as Centra Credit Union’s new President and CEO. After nearly 15 years as a member of Centra’s executive team serving in various capacities, I’m both excited and humbled by the opportunity and the responsibility to continue to positively impact our stakeholders in various ways. I greatly appreciate the confidence displayed by our committed Board of Directors in selecting me to lead our organization into its next chapter as we remain focused on living out our vision of creating value for our Members, Team Members, and the Communities we serve. I’d also like to thank the talented and engaged Centra team for the support it’s shown me during this transition.

On behalf of the entire Centra team and me personally, I’d also like to take this opportunity to express sincere appreciation to Rick Silvers, our outgoing President and CEO, for his heartfelt impact on our organization and stakeholders over the past nine and a half years. He served as a great example to us all in living out the credit union philosophy of ‘People Helping People.’  Thank you, Rick!

Despite this change in leadership and as we operate in a dynamic environment, full of changes in competition, technology, and consumer preferences, we remain steadfast in our focus on fully crafting and executing our strategic plan. This will involve the continued development and strengthening of the Centra team to deliver world-class service across all channels (digital, in person, and over the phone) to help improve the financial lives of our Members, strengthen and better communicate the Centra brand, and position the organization for continued financial success, ensuring that Centra remains a trusted financial partner for generations to come.

As we look forward to the year ahead, we also get to begin with a fantastic celebration of last year’s successes. I’m delighted to announce a one-time Member Loyalty Bonus will be awarded later this quarter. Eligible Members will receive more information about this bonus soon. Furthermore, thanks to our success in 2025, Centra is able to contribute an additional $179,000 to the Centra Foundation to give back directly into the Communities we serve. Our continued success is made possible thanks to you, our Members, and the dedication of the entire Centra team, and I hope this bonus helps us further express our appreciation.

Again, thank you for your loyalty to and trust in Centra. Please know that I assume this role with both conviction and enthusiasm, and that I’ll do my very best each day to ensure that Centra continues to make a positive difference in the lives of our Members and Communities.
