Estimados diputados,<\/h4>\n

As we prepare to move forward into the second quarter of the year, I\u2019d like to take a moment to reflect on some significant milestones for Centra and share what lies ahead.<\/p>\n

First, I enjoyed meeting local Members and community dignitaries at the grand opening celebration for our relocated branch in New Albany. The move from 710 Northwest Ordinance Lane to 804 Hausfeldt Lane represents more than a change in address. It reflects our ongoing commitment to improving convenience, accessibility, and the overall Member experience. The new location offers benefits such as expanded lobby space, ample parking, and access to two Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs). Early feedback from Members and the local community has been overwhelmingly positive, and we\u2019re grateful for your patience and support throughout the transition.<\/p>\n

Looking forward, I\u2019m excited to announce that plans are underway for the relocation of our Seymour location, with construction scheduled to commence later this year. This project aligns with our long\u2011term strategy to ensure we\u2019re meeting the evolving needs of our Membership. We look forward to sharing more details soon, so be sure to stay on the lookout for further communication.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m also proud to highlight that Centra issued a special dividend payout totaling more than $1.5 million to eligible Members in February, which I mentioned in my January letter<\/a>. Since the inception of Centra\u2019s Member Loyalty Rewards program, we\u2019ve paid out more than $6 million in Member Loyalty Bonuses. These continue to reflect the strong financial position of our Credit Union and our commitment to returning value directly to our stakeholders. As a Member\u2011owned not-for-profit financial institution, your trust and engagement enable us to reinvest in you through new products, services, cash rewards, and much more.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, as part of our ongoing Imagine the Possibilities strategic plan, our organization is dedicated to making steady progress on several initiatives aimed at solidifying Centra\u2019s long-term foundation. You can be sure that more updates will be shared with you as the year progresses.<\/p>\n

To show our appreciation, we’re giving our Members another Member Loyalty Bonus!<\/p>\n<p>This bonus is a unique benefit of a Centra Membership. After nearly 15 years as a member of Centra\u2019s executive team serving in various capacities, I\u2019m both excited and humbled by the opportunity and the responsibility to continue to positively impact our stakeholders in various ways.\u00a0I greatly appreciate the confidence displayed by our committed Board of Directors in selecting me to lead our organization into its next chapter as we remain focused on living out our vision of creating value for our Members, Team Members, and the Communities we serve. I\u2019d also like to thank the talented and engaged Centra team for the support it\u2019s shown me during this transition.<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of the entire Centra team and me personally, I\u2019d also like to take this opportunity to express sincere appreciation to Rick Silvers, our outgoing President and CEO, for his heartfelt impact on our organization and stakeholders over the past nine and a half years.\u00a0He served as a great example to us all in living out the credit union philosophy of \u2018People Helping People.\u2019\u00a0 Thank you, Rick!<\/p>\n<p>Despite this change in leadership and as we operate in a dynamic environment, full of changes in competition, technology, and consumer preferences, we remain steadfast in our focus on fully crafting and executing our strategic plan.\u00a0This will involve the continued development and strengthening of the Centra team to deliver world-class service across all channels (digital, in person, and over the phone) to help improve the financial lives of our Members, strengthen and better communicate the Centra brand, and position the organization for continued financial success, ensuring that Centra remains a trusted financial partner for generations to come.<\/p>\n<p>As we look forward to the year ahead, we also get to begin with a fantastic celebration of last year\u2019s successes. I\u2019m delighted to announce a one-time Member Loyalty Bonus will be awarded later this quarter. Eligible Members will receive more information about this bonus soon. Furthermore, thanks to our success in 2025, Centra is able to contribute an additional $179,000 to the Centra Foundation to give back directly into the Communities we serve. Communities we serve, including our locations in Jamestown, New York, and Whitakers, North Carolina. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to supporting those in need and directly addresses the growing issue of food insecurity, especially as the holiday season approaches.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt Centra, our commitment to giving back is deeply rooted in who we are,\u201d Centra President and CEO Rick Silvers said. \u201cOur Members, Communities, and Team Members support us every day, and we believe it\u2019s our responsibility as a trusted financial partner to give back in meaningful and impactful ways when we are able. By distributing these donations equitably across food banks throughout our footprint, we hope to help ease some of the burden through current hardships and as the holiday season approaches.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This donation comes at a critical time. With uncertainty surrounding SNAP food benefits, many individuals and families may face disruptions in receiving essential support over the coming months. As a result, local food banks are likely to experience increased demand from their communities. Together, we\u2019ve accomplished so much in my time here, but the expansion of our community involvement has been one of the most meaningful successes. As the holidays approach, I\u2019m reminded of the power of community and the joy that comes from giving. At Centra, we\u2019re proud to continue a tradition that brings warmth and hope to families across the Communities we serve: the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centra.org\/es\/donacion-navidena-de-la-fundacion-centra\/\">Centra Foundation Holiday Giving Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This annual initiative is truly one of my favorites. The holiday season can be stressful for many, especially with the continuous rise in costs of goods and services. The Holiday Giving Program not only seeks to provide gifts to children, but to relieve added pressure to parents already struggling to make ends meet.<\/p>\n<p>Monetary donations of any size are welcome, and 100% of the proceeds go directly to local nonprofits to ensure they\u2019re able to provide holiday gifts for children in our Communities. Your generosity helps create moments of joy and lasting memories for families who need it most.<\/p>\n<p>The spirit of giving doesn\u2019t stop with the holidays. I\u2019m proud to share that Centra and our Team Members recently completed our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centra.org\/es\/fundacion-centra\/united-way\/\">Campa\u00f1a United Way en el lugar de trabajo<\/a>, reaching yet another new record for Team Member participation. This amazing achievement is a testament to the compassion and generosity of our Team Members, and it reflects Centra\u2019s ongoing commitment to making a meaningful difference year-round.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m also proud to share that Centra and the Centra Foundation\u2019s efforts were recently recognized with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centra.org\/es\/2025\/10\/centra-receives-dora-maxwell-award-from-icul\/\">Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award<\/a> for credit unions in the $1+ billion category by the Indiana Credit Union League. This award celebrates credit unions that demonstrate exceptional commitment to community outreach and social responsibility. This award reflects the backbone of our organization, our Team Members, and their dedication to living out Centra\u2019s vision of creating value.<\/p>\n<p>On a personal note, I was humbled to receive the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centra.org\/es\/2025\/10\/rick-silvers-receives-professional-achievement-award\/\">Professional Achievement Award<\/a> from the Indiana Credit Union League this year. This recognition is truly a reflection of the incredible Team Members I have the privilege of working with each day and the wonderful Members our Credit Union serves. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this journey.<\/p>\n<p>Serving as your President and CEO has been the greatest honor of my professional career, and I am beyond grateful to have been part of the 85-year legacy Centra holds within the credit union movement. <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/ZyN2Pr6L9Q8\">Seeing the impact our Credit Union has had<\/a> on our Members, Team Members, and Communities has been incredibly touching, and I will treasure the memories of my time here.<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead, Centra remains focused on innovation that best serves our Members, Team Members, and growing community needs. Our Executive Leadership team and Board of Directors recently met to explore the integration of ethical artificial intelligence practices into our organization. We partnered with industry expert <a href=\"https:\/\/www.johnbest.ai\/\">John Best<\/a> to ensure that our approach is responsible, transparent, and aligned with our values.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative presents exciting opportunities to reduce costs, enhance our operational efficiency, and improve Member services. By embracing AI, we\u2019re not just investing in technology. We\u2019re investing in a future where Centra can serve you more effectively.<\/p>\n<p>Centra is well positioned for future growth, and our current strategic initiatives will guide the credit union for years to come. As I prepare for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centra.org\/es\/2025\/11\/rick-silvers-announces-retirement-brad-davis-named-next-centra-president-ceo\/\">my retirement on January 9, 2026<\/a>, I\u2019m excited to imagine the possibilities for Centra Credit Union with our very own Brad Davis assuming the leadership mantle. Brad has been with Centra for more than 14 years and has been in the financial industry for more than 30 years. His broad experience and robust leadership qualifications will serve you, our Members, our Team Members, and our Communities well.<\/p>\n<p>While I\u2019m looking forward to this next chapter for myself and my wife, I will miss having the great honor of coming to Centra Credit Union and dreaming of new ways to create value for you and all of our stakeholders. However, I know that the Credit Union is in great hands, and I can\u2019t wait to follow Centra\u2019s progress throughout the next year and beyond. announced his retirement effective January 9, 2026. Following a nationwide search, Centra\u2019s Board of Directors selected Centra Chief Growth Officer Brad Davis as the Credit Union\u2019s next President and CEO.<\/p>\n<p>Rick joined Centra on June 1, 2016, and has led the Credit Union through significant growth and expansion. Under his leadership, Centra\u2019s total assets have grown by just under $1 billion while the Credit Union\u2019s loan balances have doubled and deposits have increased by more than 70%. Since 2016, Centra has relocated five branches, constructed an expanded headquarters building, and opened seven additional branches, including the Lebanon and Zionsville locations through Centra\u2019s 2024 merger with the former NorthPark Community Credit Union.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout Rick\u2019s tenure, Centra also substantially expanded our community involvement and financial education programs. Centra Foundation efforts, including the United Way Workplace Campaign, Teaming Up with Teachers, Team Member nominated donations, and the Holiday Giving Program, have contributed more than $1 million to the Communities Centra serves in addition to thousands of volunteer hours served by Centra Team Members. In 2024, Centra also reimagined the former NorthPark\u2019s outbound, mission-driven line of business focused on financial inclusion and coaching, with marked progress in the expansion of these services throughout Centra\u2019s footprint.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to supporting local communities, Centra Credit Union also continues to give back to our Members. In 2021, Centra launched Member Loyalty Rewards, creating additional ways for Centra Members to earn and save cash in a higher interest Member Loyalty Account. Through the program, Centra has also awarded $4.7 million to our Members in the form of special dividends, referred to as Member Loyalty Bonuses.<\/p>\n<p>Rick’s accomplishments and contributions to the credit union movement were recently recognized by the Indiana Credit Union League. He received the prestigious <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centra.org\/es\/2025\/10\/rick-silvers-receives-professional-achievement-award\/\">Professional Achievement Award<\/a> during the Gala & Awards Celebration on October 3, a special event held during the League\u2019s annual convention.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has been a great honor to be the President and CEO of Centra Credit Union, and I am beyond grateful to have been part of Centra\u2019s 85-year legacy,\u201d Rick said. \u201cBrad\u2019s broad experience and strong leadership qualifications will serve Centra and its stakeholders well. I will be excited to see how Brad and the Centra team continue to move Centra forward and the ways in which they create even more value for our Members, Team Members, and Communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brad joined Centra in 2011 and has more than 33 years of experience in the banking industry within Indiana. As Chief Growth Officer, Brad has passionately guided and overseen all of Centra\u2019s Member-facing lines of business while actively serving as a member of Centra\u2019s Executive Management team, responsible for helping develop and execute the Credit Union\u2019s strategic direction. He is passionate about Centra\u2019s vision of creating value for Members, Team Members, and the Communities it serves. Working with the dedicated Centra team to provide the financial products, services, and education Members need is a key point of focus. One of Brad’s primary goals is to help Centra Members financially succeed, resulting in healthier communities where they live and work.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCentra Credit Union has seen tremendous growth throughout the past decade under Rick\u2019s leadership. The Credit Union is performing incredibly well, and our historical performance has enabled us to execute robust strategic plans and to formulate strategic initiatives that will guide the Credit Union for years to come,\u201d Brad said. \u201cWe\u2019re well-positioned for future growth, and I am humbled and excited to guide the Credit Union and lead our experienced and capable team for the benefit of our stakeholders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brad is an Indiana native and graduate of Franklin College, where he double majored in Business-Finance and Economics. He also received a Master\u2019s of Business Administration degree from the University of Indianapolis and a degree from the Graduate School of Banking (University of Wisconsin) in addition to completing the CUES CEO Institute and earning the Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation. He\u2019s a member of the Greater Columbus Economic Development Board, the Heritage Fund of Bartholomew County Board, and the Columbus Municipal Airport Board of Aviation Commissioners, and he has been actively involved in several community organizations, including the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce, the Bartholomew Consolidated School Foundation Board, the United Way of Bartholomew County, and the Columbus Area Visitors Center, among many others.
