Centra offers almost as many Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) as there are individuals - each with its own benefits. To find one (or more) that fits your situation, read the following information to learn more, then give us a call, e-mail us, or visit us in person.
Traditional IRA: Designed for actively employed wage earners (full- or part-time). A $1000 catch-up contribution is allowed for those 50+ years of age. Any contributions made into these accounts must be made within a tax year, from January to the tax filing due date.
Spousal IRA: Created for non-working spouses of actively employed wage earners. A $1000 catch-up contribution is allowed for those 50+ years of age. Any contributions made into these accounts must be made within a tax year, from January to the tax filing due date.
Rollover IRA: Allows a lump sum investment from another qualified plan.
Transfer IRA: Allows investment of funds transferred from an IRA at another institution.
Roth IRA: Allows after-tax contributions of up to $4,000 annually. A $1000 catch-up contribution is allowed for those 50+ years of age, along with the standard $4,000 contribution, for a total of $5,000. Contributions must be made within a tax year, from January to the tax filing due date.
The Coverdell Education Savings Account (Education IRA): Allows qualified individuals to contribute up to $2000 annually (non-deductible). Contributions must be made within a calendar year, from January to December.
